Background
- UVB Therapy was founded by Mizan Musahid, a graduate of Imperial College London’s Health Policy master’s programme.
- He has worked for the NHS as a policymaker and is committed to improving health outcomes and reducing health inequalities.
Mizan’s Personal Journey
- I struggled with severe psoriasis across my body and scalp.
- I tried countless products and remedies, but nothing ever truly worked — and when something did help, it often came with negative side effects.
- UVB phototherapy was one of the few treatments that genuinely improved my psoriasis, but accessing it in hospital was challenging. I often had to travel across the city, wait in busy clinics, and expose my psoriasis covered body to staff, at a time when my self-confidence was already low.
- Being able to use UVB treatment at home changed everything. It gave me privacy, comfort, and consistency — without the stress or inconvenience of hospital visits.
